Off-set centers
« on: April 07, 2009, 11:54:11 AM »
Can someone please explain what a pair of off-set centers are on a lathe,

I know what centers are, but how do you off-set them

I would assume centers where centered and the work was off-set on the centers being driven by a dog?
You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)

Dunno!

Crankshaft throws are turned between a pair of offset centre holes.......  ::)
