CNC Wire Bending
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:47:27 AM »
Apologise if this has been posted before but I couldn't find it.  I was really impressed by the use of the CNC mill in this application.  I may even be tempted to just motorise the X,Y axis on my small mill to do this.

Hope its of interest.

A neat idea that. I don't suppose you could work on very heavy gauge rod before the radial spindle load is too much for the bearings.

Certainly a method to tuck away for the future

Thats a fair point Andrew.  Perhaps have a jig attached to the mill head than risk the spindle bearings, and make sure the bending roll is the weak link...
