I had a length of 1in brass bar, square section

I had a length of 1in brass bar, square section and the bits that hold the wipers on my classic car had perished, being made of rubber.

So I made these:

The hinges are a good bit harder than the wiper-jets because the axle does not run parallel to the base.
Also the two axles need to line up when the hinges are in place or the boot lid would need to flex as you raised it.

There is only about 2mm wall thickness left, on the tail-end, above the stud which hold them on.

There was still some bar left, but the next job will get its own topic, because I have more photos.
