A handy tool nicely made and illustrated Bob. I like the set over tail stock adaptor, did you make it?

Make what - a sandwich?

Joking aside they're a very nice accessory for drilling small holes. You can feel the pressure better and pecking at the hole is much easier and quicker than having to turn a handwheel back and forth.

Mine uses a ball spine out of a scrap non-rotating air cylinder so there's no noticeable friction.

good vegetarian meal there Bob. Mine was vegetarian ham and salad.    Oh the metal work was up to your usual standards Bob very nice. I have spent a frustrating morning trying (and failing) to replace a part that came out of my dial calliper when I pulled it apart  Its over 40C again today so back under the ac for the rest of it. No I don't want your cold, stormy weather thanks all the same.
Pete

oops..........oh no.........blast now I need to redo it

Nicely made little tool' they sell them on e bay & other suppler sites but are silly money. Talking about offset taper turning, I made something similar some years ago, have only used it once in anger since...

Yesterday, went out on the spending spree for a local Myford ME10 which was described as 'An ideal Starter lathe' and I found both the tailstock stock thing and the set over one in the box of goodies.

The other goodies included a Potts drilling spindle and a Cleeve swing tool holder along with a QCTP and rear parting tool post.

So it's nice to see what you have done.

Cheers

Peter,
 Quite correct!

Came with lots of 'goodies' which could go on my Super7B if it isn't too damaged after the storms and winter are over.  Nice Potts spindle and a Cleeve swing tool as bonuses

Regards

Norman

Made something similar ,using Hemingway-Kits set.

I use it when ever I need a taper.
Very handy tool,IMHO.

Mine is calibrated to show offsets for 1 to 3 Morse Taper.  Came in the boxes of goodies with the ME10.  Complete in its own box and looking rather superior to my usual selection of what I laughing regard as tooling.

Hi Bob,

Good to see the project you've been busy with, I like the sensitive drilling spindle idea, I'll have to incorporate it into my sensitive die/tap holder musings...

I want to thread male & female M5 x 0.5, for that dial gauge needle puller I promised, sorry it's taking so long...

Hi Bob,

Thought I'd post a few pics of my version of a sensitive Drill chuck/Die Holder/Tap Guide, I haven't used a lever though.

I've also modified one of the pointers of my Wiggler set, I turned up an accurate 0.25" cylinder to sleeve an 1/8" needle pointer.

This allows for setting up round bars in my dividing head, without the need to ensure the 0.25" ball is on the bar centre height.

hi good job rotorhead right I have bin biz with other things but when time allowed I managed to get most of the metal work dun sos not that many pics I got sum 6mm thick gage plate and marked it out then drilled two 10mm hols then cut the middle out  with a hacksaw then driest it up with a file sos no pics of the next bit cut the mane part out then drilled and reemd m3 two pivot points then cut out the bottom slot then file it to 6mm then with a nuther peace drilled 9.8 then reemd to 10mm this is to go on to the front of the taper then drilled 2.8 then reemd 3mm for the pivot then made the link 6mm by 6mm did not have any bar the same diameter for the handle so mad it out of a long m8 bolt with the front tapered then silver soldered it to the front fork right pics
