My new to me wee drilling machine

Hi Chaps 

I traded  my long suffering 20 odd year old RF25 mill /drill  for this wee beastie  all part of my shop upgrades .

 

Had great fun moving it    Its an  Arboga gear head drill , 8 speed  ,4MT power fed quil    , it has a few  whitless marks in the table , nowt I can't fix and a few other dings here and there 

Just for ref the table is 500mm x 400mm  and there is 300mm of deep throat

Looks like a right little powerhouse Rob. Is the power feed quill geared of the spindle drive? If so does it have a clutch?

it looks like it is , the feed mech has an auto trip/stop , it  also looks like it has a rapid and slow feed  will find out more when I fire the thing up    , I just plonked it where it stands Sunday tea time and  haven't had a good butchers at it yet .

I may  have a wee job for your printing skills , there should be two black plastic levers for gear selection , the ally one is a bodge

I still  have a to go back and collect a few 4mt drills and sleeves that I had forgot to stick in the van when picking the machine up . 


I nearly got shot of a large  unused drill vice a week back that I came across while sorting out the workshop , something I had forgot I had , but thought I better just hang on to it
