Hello from the land of moss and mildew
« on: March 07, 2016, 06:01:04 PM »
Hello folks
I was directed here from another site, guess they were mostly CNC, Iím an olde retired (mostly tired) analog guy.
I built a primitive work shop years ago, installed a 13X40 gap bed lathe. Pretty much self taught through Lindsays technical books.
Anything mechanical interests me, form 1 & 2 cylinder motor cycles to steam.
The last two years Iíve been working on a rust bucket street rod, first, last and only car project, that gets to the drag strip now and again.
This winter came across slot car drag racing, which led to a Shureline mill, which led me here.
I just spent an hour and a half of my time Iíll never get back trying to resize a test picture on my MAC. Lets see if it works.
If not hereís a link to what Iím doing right now. Cutting a couple drive gears for a RC gas truck.

Oh well it appears the photos may not show up.

If you can't fix it with a hammer,
It's an electrical problem.

You have done a good job of that gear have fun reading the many and varied posts on here and don't be backward in asking any questions you may have as the group is most helpful, not to mention knowledgeable.
