Thanks John for giving my website a mention.
Jeff, the links mentioned by John will introduce you to my Simple and Advanced grinding rests which enable a wide range of sharpening tasks to be carried out. However, should you first want to give more thought to something more advanced I have on my website a simple, but effective, method of sharpening the end cutting edges of an end mill. If eventually, you decided to make one of my grinding rests, then much of what you will have produced in making the endmill sharpening device could be transferred to the grinding rest.
I have started recently to add videos to my website and it just so happens that the latest one is the device mentioned. The link to the video can be found here http://www.homews.co.uk/page121.html
For those interested the complete list of those videos already published can be found here http://www.homews.co.uk/page617a.html
. I also have another 15 videos that I will be issueing at the rate of 1 (occasionally 2) a week.
Going back to Jeff's thoughts on the subject of a tool grinder I am also working on 5 videos showing my grinding rest being used to sharpen a, lathe knife tool, slitting saw, end mill, dovetail cutter, four facet drill sharpening, others will also be added to the list. All these are some way off and are unlikely to appear before the end of the year.
I do mail out to those in my metalworking address book notification of the videos as they are published. Should any one reading this like to be added to the list then go to my correspondence page at http://www.homews.co.uk/page6.html
and add, Please add me to your mailing list.
For those not conversant with my website there are around 500 metalworking pages with a book style index here http://www.homews.co.uk/page463.html
I am sorry that I only visit this forum occasionally but having over 30 forums that have links to my website my time gets spread thinly. I do try to visit when my website statistics shows a link from this forum.
