Expo update 2017
« on: March 04, 2017, 07:44:03 AM »

Now for the bad news for those coming from Detroit and points north  on South bound I-75. You can pick which you think will be best for you. As the detours ends at the exit for one road to Wyandotte

South bond I 75 is closed and more bad news the North bound side up and over the Rouge River bride is down to one lane. what a pain in the seat cushion. With all the people trying to cut in the working lane as far up as they can. Took I 94 to M-39 south then M-39 to M-85 turn right south to Northline road left to  either 4th st and turn right till you get to the Yack which is on 3rd and Oak st.

Anything for the ladies to do in the area?

We plan to make a weekend of it, arrive Fri eve. Probably have dinner first at City Grill in Windsor, a friend is head chef there.

Other than the shopping, on Jefferson Ave. I can't speak to what is in the area. I live 50 miles away or so. I will ask @ the next meeting next Saturday and post the answer.

Have her check out The main web site and then the community and arts and culture sections. There are a number of studio and galleries on Biddle with in walking distance of the Yack not to mention Museums. Plus a wide range of shops to browse, There is a mall but it is about 12/15 miles away. They ran a bus to the mall but the last year they did only 4 people used it all week end so they stopped. Hope this may help. but nobody with the group lives in the area. One is from Toledo, Windsor qnd the rest from 50 plus miles north of the Yack
