How busy is this forum?
« on: April 16, 2017, 05:33:48 PM »
Hi all.

Pretty new here (but not to forums) and was just wondering how busy this place is?

Members and discussions are the lifeblood of a forum so it would be cool to get an idea :D

Go to the 'Home' page, and right down the bottom, below all the sub forums, is a section with forum statistics

Oh Yeh...I realise that...just wondering if there's still a lot of discussion.

A lot of place go the way of FB groups which is the worst place as posts will just get lost in amongst 100s of others. Forums are still the best.

I own an smf forum that at one point was hugely popular. It's still there as a knowledge base but since I quit the hobby it was about...it died off.

I'm liking this place.

I think most of us do! there seems to be less of a elitist attitude here I think most here tend to withhold comment until they can add something constructive which on occasions leads you to believe no one is interested and its usually about then that someone comes up with a gem of an idea.

Turns out this life c**p is just one big distraction from death but a good one. For the love of god dont give yourself time to think.

Absolutely

I joined another (the big one) at the same time and it's very prickly.

Some of us also like to thrown in the odd curve ball to get people talking and thinking outside the box.  It's what's great about being a Mad Modder.
Just get doing and make swarf, you can decide what its going to be later.

And here's the box after application of a scroll saw.   Not my work, but that of a fellow member a couple of days back.

Hey that's brilliant. A box for spare tetris blocks :D

I'll admit to the box :-) It did come out a bit tetris-y - I wanted to do a labyrinth but it all has to be a little chunky to be cut-able and finish-able. (stain & polish yet to do)

EDIT AGAIN photo reinstated at a sensible size
