Trike
« on: May 23, 2017, 01:55:45 PM »
As I now find myself with lots of free time I thought I'd better put it to good use  So I finally dragged the trike build into the workshop  :headbang: Just mocking the front end up ready to make a new steering stem, wheel spindle and associated parts.

That is a fine beast! What engine? Have you already got it registered as a trike? I was chatting a while ago to a guy who built trikes and was riding an absolute beaut; he told me that registering a new build trike was very difficult and that he would pay handsomely for almost anything with trike reg which he would then rebuild.

This 1 is a six cylinder Kawasaki Z1300, it's already registered. It's not that hard to register new build Trike's but there are lots of things that you have to do which aren't ideal to build a good looking trike.

hi. Can you be a little more specific, please? What kinds of things are required for registration that are "not ideal for building a good looking trike"?
I've been contemplating starting a trike build several times.....
Cheers,
Joe
