spirit lamps
« on: July 20, 2010, 10:26:12 AM »
Anyone have plans/ideas for spirit lamps for vacuum or sterling engines? I know folks have made their own, or adapted everyday stuff to the task. I ask because I have built a modified Poppin engine with the valve in front, but the valve actuator prevents a candle from being positioned to provide power.
I do have torch and solder, but the design evades me.
I gave Googled “Sprit Lamps”. But not found much, other than plans for ‘tin can’ sterling’s, which I now must build…. It goes on and on .
