Scooter and a BBQ
« on: May 09, 2011, 05:30:02 AM »
Hello all, hope your weekends have been productive.
This is my first thread on your forum, please be gentle hahahahahha.
This forum is fantastic there are so many interesting thing going on, thanks for sharing them all.

I am not really a metalwork man, all my work has been in wood over the years but I am enjoying trying somthing new.

This scooter was for my lad.

I am thinking about rounding off some of the corners and giving it a new lick of paint soon.
The welds are quite nasty, this was my first welding since school, I am a little better now hahaha

This used to be a brazing hearth and was being thrown away at work, The first picture was last years effort that did not work very well. The second is the current updated version, this works nicely, first burgers came out on saturday

Thanks for looking
Rich

I like them both.

How does the scooter works? Does sneaker ever bump to the the massive rear wheel?

I like the GRILL!

Very cool job on both of those!

I was thinking that rounding the corners would be a good idea on the scooter. Love the grill.

BTW... welcome to the collective :borg:

I thought we had another John Hill design here, a barbeque on wheels.

I was a bit disappointed that it turned into two seperate projects, but both yours have turned out great.

Nice ones

The wheels do get in the way a bit but he has go used to this.
My next project is to turn this into a welding trolley

As I am sure you have felt at times, my job gets in the way of all the things I really want to do ::)
I will keep you in the picture.

If your lad gets fed up with it, spray it pink and send it up to me  ... Ohh and of course I`d let my daughter have a go as well.

Looks great! Nicely done!
...and thanks for all the fish.
