Another one from the grouped lot purchase. It is a copy of a platers year book. With the advertisements surrounding new and suggested practices for the plating industries. Along with suggested cleaning and polishing info.

First to say that it is filled with simple formula's for cleaning, patina's, plating and coloring metals. That said it is one of those mostly science content books. The second problem with it, most of the items used in the processes. Are at least nominally hazardous to extremely toxic. Not to mention a visit from some department or agency of the Home land security.
As they are the base acids and all manner of chemicals ending in cyanide in one form or another.

    * Polishing, buffing and coloring
    * Abrasive rolling and ball burnishing
    * Solvent and Vapor degreasing
    * Metal cleaning
    * Solutions for plating
    * Tanks
    * Stripping solutions
    * Metal coloring
    * Saw dust tumbling
    * Specifications for plated coatings
    * Electrolytic deposit tables
    * Replenishing the metal content of cyanide baths
    * Methods of analysis of plating solutions
    * List of chemicals

I haven't gave it a complete read yet, and just hit the areas that might have some use to the people on the forum. Once I wade thru the science there might be a gem or two in useful information that will end up in the patina section.
