Chaps,

Can any of you recommend a good value aluminium profile section supplier and sprung loaded tee nut supplier?  I'm working on a new hand tool and basically want snug fitting tee nuts that will slide down aluminium profile section like below with very little wobble.

TIA Bry

I don't know of the availability over there, but you may get some ideas at least here:

There are any number of UK suppliers ... we used one in Leicester IIRC.

A search not come up with one ???  I can't believe that.

I have a length similar to your pic. here, but be aware that no profile is all that accurate .. it's not meant to be.

Depends what you expect from it.

It ain't cheap.

EDIT ..

This might just be the people, but the name rings no bells. Same outfit, different name ??? Who knows.

I have a few modest talents. Knowing what I'm doing isn't one of them.

Hi there,

Ermm just making a prototype first as not sure if the design will take off.

Ideally want one or a few 20mm x 20mm  x 100mm length  of the T slot type.
I'd say a M5-M8 thread would be ok.

Do you have access to ball bearing or spring tension T nuts?

TIA

I have the ones with the spring "lip" type in threads from m5 to m8 and i'll have a look around what sort of off cuts we have in the t profile ally stuff ... I am not going to be back in the workshop till wednesday morning though but will have a look then.
