I have a few questions:

Are you going to use stepper motors or servos?

Is the smaller unit on top of the spindle for an auto tool changer?

What power and what speed will the spindle be capable of?

Screw   2005  C7     Track  is   25MM
 The spindle Siemens servo motor,  1.8kw  or 1.5kw  Model  V60
 The spindle   is  bt30,  Has designed eight magazine,Top of the cylinder.

   Nice project!  Are you planning about producing these in series?  They'd be a sweet new competitor to the existing Sieg KX3/BF20/Syil X4 of this world.

   I've done a little math, and you literally leave them in the dust, speaking of size:  the workable volume of a KX3 being about 9 cubic decimeter (0.3 cu ft), a syil X4 around 14 cubic decimeter (.5 cu ft), and yours around 58 cubic decimeter (2 cu ft!!!)   

   The column seems sturdy, and the headstock seems heavy; two qualities for a nice machine.

   I'd say keep us informed of future developments!

Hi John,

I've just wasted about 5 hours of my life trying to sort this mess out. I am sat on my settee in Marple and have never been to (or will go to) Panama, the Phillipines or wherever the scumbags say I am.

The culprit is in Nigeria and not only did he send out the emails but he (or she) set up a philfern[at]yahoo.com email address and had all my genuine emails forwarded to that account. For good measure (I assume so I couldn't warn anyone) he wiped out my contacts and my sent items folder!

Three password changes and some help from a nice BT lady in India and I think all is sorted. I have hopes that BT can reinstate my contacts as I had many hundreds and it would be very tedious to go through all my folders to reconstruct it.

I wish them a lingering and very painful death!

You can send the $2,795 from your PayPal account anyway.
