NOS BIKE
« on: March 07, 2009, 03:09:19 AM »
This is my chopper the first full bike build i did from the frame up built around 1985-1986 from a crashed 1982 GPZ 1100. and as it was my first kid i could never sell it.
i had it on the road for about 10 years then the NOS took the tops off the pistons. i re built the motor last year and she's now back on the road

BT,

Lovely build.

One thing you mentioned has struck a nerve, Air Shifter. :headbang:

I was looking to fit one to my 1500 Wing (sagging shoulders and drooping head). :(

Do they really work as well as they say, and how do you select neutral?

Do you use a tank for the compressed air? As you most probably know, the Wing has a built in compressor for the rear shock, I was wondering if that could be utilised, or does it require megapsi?

Air shifter is good for the track only really you get a fast up/down shift under power as i kills the ignition for a split second
ie load off. it's fed from a air bottle and you get about 35-40 shifts off a fill of about 120 psi. but you wont find neutral with it there is an electric servo kit around that will do what you want.

Thanks for that BT.

My bodywork is getting a bit rusty now, and I need all the help I can get to keep me on two wheels.

Now to look for something to operate the brake pedal.
