Unwanted "Tapatalk" intervention
« on: August 21, 2013, 06:02:00 PM »
Eric,

I guess some update has sneaked in or gone awry - but every page view from a conventional browser pops-up a request to log in to Tapatalk.  I've never ever had any Tapatalk plugin or anything loaded.

Same from IE, FF & Chrome.

Dave,

Is that on a pc or a mobile device?

Anyone else having this problem?

Eric

Nah!

No problem here. Though, loading's still slow, at times........

You get that if you use chrome. Coz there is a tapatalk plugin for chrome. Its primarily aimed at mobile users like myself.

Thanks Eric.

Sorry for not including that- - using Windows XP SP3 on laptop.

The invitation came with every page delivery or refresh (of course I should have grabbed a screenshot), cancelling the tapatalk.com login popup then allowed the page to be read.

It persisted for at least half an hour last night - but it has stopped this morning! and all back to normal.

Neo - thanks for that, I know of Tapatalk but I don't use or have any Tapatalk loaded on this laptop at all - it appeared that for some reason the SMF bulletin board software thought I did & was trying to use Tapatalk !

Anyway, all seems OK again now.

Thanks / Dave
