Use Faststone photo resizer. It's a doddle to use and once you put in the required resolution it remembers the setting.

Hi there, Howsitwork,

Plus 1 for Faststone resizer.

Not only can you re-size, you can also add captions and/or titles within your photo.  This helps explain the photo's place in the sequence of operations the post describes.  Alternatively, you can use the facility to 'watermark' your photos to protect them from being 'borrowed'!

+1 use this myself for all my pics, even in my pics albums & saves a lot of space on your hard drive. Worth downloading.
