Title: Low pressure casting
Post by: NeoTech on January 26, 2016, 04:58:43 AM
Has anyone here considered the process of low pressure casting on a hobbyist level. While i have been looking at the process it seems that the big issue is keeping the metal fluid for a longer time if you wanna use the process for several molds.

The obvious benefits would be a denser casting. But would it be possible to achieve..

The usual setup is that the material is fed from beneath by pressurising the vessel with the molten materia by the introduction of hot air under pressure forcing the fluid down and up into a riser tube.
