Everyone is making a log store!

Actually, I have to make one as well. Some sort of log store with a small shed to keep the bears out of my garbage cans.

Good going John. I might take your idea of angle iron!

Hi
Lads
Had a few visitors today (Rob Wilson  KRV 3000    Micktoon)
Had a good laugh building the log store and taking the piss out of each other
The frame work is up it seems to be a sturdy job

Well that's certainly not going to fall down in a hurry John - looks good

But I reckon at that size you've got an ulterior motive - that's not going to be a log store - it's really a workshop extension

Jim

I'm not sure which I like the best, the wood pile or the clear blue sky. I guess it depends on the season.

Hope you didn't have to split it all by hand.  :D :D

Cheers

Hey Jim, Don't you split it by hand then toss it in the old water tank tipped side on? Oops! That's what I had to do as a kid. Got warm twice by the one delivery of wood. First chopping and stacking the stuff second when it got burnt in the family's kitchen stove.  :D

By hand? Nah - these days I use a nice sharp chequebook. The block splitter is relegated to the back of the shed.

But if I had a nice, keen son-in-law ...

Ooh, I've not looked in for a few days and look, Wye Aye Lads, another log store.  It's great to see joists being re-used, that's how I did my dad's workbench.  Must admit the scale of it puts my fiddling "entertainment in the shade.  Excellent job by the way, wish I'd used your "mortice n' tenon" technique.

I'm not altogether sure if you are now going to have two log stores or just one newer bigg'un?  Plus, I know for us Southern Softies it appears to get cold in Geordie-land, but I thought you just sat around in shirt-sleaves regardless and didn't need additional heat.
