DaveH not being nice (not a D1-4 Adapter plate)
« on: June 26, 2011, 11:47:10 AM »
Hi,

Made a start on the Camlock D1-4 Adapter plate.

Here is the steel blank. Straight from the steel supplier.

First facing operation

Finished facing, both sides faced.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think your steel supplier is ripping you off big time. They must have sold you a mirage or something like that.
If that isn't bad enough, I think your camera is in stutter mode. Three identical pictures, all containing one unique colour. I would suggest that you find some yellow frogs and paste them on these Adapter Plates before you go any further. At least that way you will know where they are and you won't drop one on your foot or worse.

PS: I hear that Wally-Mart has cameras on sale that take pictures of multicoloured objects.  :poke: :poke:

Cheers

DaveH, I suspect that Don is just seeing three blank white rectangles, like me. We'll just have to use our imagination.

I've cut the end off it twice, but it's still too short

Rob, Andy,

Sorry guys - they are coded (to stop someone nicking them)

Just with the mouse double click the Top Right Corner and the image will appear.  Sorry about that

Dave...Looking in Arnold's Nam-Engineering Gallery your pictures are blank there too. (File 9/2956). It does not appear to be an access issue as I can see all Arnold's pictures OK. I am in the UK at present.

Cheers

Dave....I've been travelling in the USA and arrived in the UK a few days ago. I appear to have missed a few posts!

I'm staying with family in the St Albans area.  Will be back in Jo'burg in mid-July.

Cheers

Poll says you're a nutter. :poke:   :loco:

And polls, reflecting the majority assessment, are, by definition, never wrong.

There has only been 29 votes - I wouldn't call that representative.

And it is always important to remember the delusional always vote first.
It is also an unfair poll - showing the running votes just encourages the sheep mentality. :hammer:

Marv - I thought you would be resting up before your big day tomorrow :D
