Hello from Dublin
« on: August 17, 2014, 02:35:01 PM »
Hi Guys,

Just renewing some ME interests.

I am a homebrwer with a workshop so guess what I get:

"Hi Will, Could you 'JUST' drill this out to 13 mm (in 316 Stainless), Oh and by the way I have already hardened it for you by burning out some 6mm drills"

I used to live in Ashton-u-Lyne (NE Manchester in UK) and was fairly inviolved with Rochdale MES
Now living in Dublin, Ireland (For 23 years)
So if any one from RMES is here I would love to hear from you

Found out about you from John Mills the Twastard aka DoubleBoost.

Love the videos John

Sadly (or happily, depending on your view) I have absolutely no taste for any alcohol at all, it all tastes the same to me  :loco: I know, an Irishman who doesn't drink

Hmmm, Where to start?

Have been chewing metal since 1974. First lathe was a round bed Drumond that me girlfiend bought me and was installed in her kitchen!. A year later while working for Avros's in Chadderton a mate of a mate sourced me a ML7 on the industrial stand ( was probably nicked from department 101 (updatirs at the back of the tool room)

Was a member of Rochdal MEES for a long time ( till I moved to Dubland)

I have a 3 1/2" Rob Roy Chassis that runs on air thats about 35 years old! Boiler is half built!

The Myford/Drill/Centec 2 Horizontal Mill gets used now and again but since getting involved in the homebrew scene I have sort of been suckeked into to stainless metal working.

As in "can you machine this/bore this out/make one of these" sort of questions!

Biggest mistake was to upgrage to a tig welder!

BTW: I amretired!!
