A new monster to find room for...
« on: October 13, 2014, 08:06:45 AM »
Having failed to move into a new, larger, workshop, what better way to celebrate stuffing the quart back into the pint pot, than buying another machine? Preferably, a big one....

Now I can fold up to 4ft of 2mm steel, which should be more than plenty for doing most of the Jag work, which is the reason I purchased the beast. Unloading it was entertaining, to say the least, given that it weighs the better part of 1/2 ton, and is massively front heavy. Still, it only fell over once, and did more damage to the floor than to itself, and almost no-one was killed in the process, although much swearing and cursing was involved.

Now to learn how to make boxes!
Cheers!
Ade.

Looks a well made beefy tool.

I have same trouble, all I can say is base what work you need to do and keep machines used easily accessible.
Throw the rest outside, temporary of course.

Nice!

So when are you going to move to being a full race car part production shop?

Nothing like having a big bender in the workshop!

Nice bit of kit.... While you're in the mood to buy astonishingly heavy machine tools, could I interest you in a circle cutter able to create a 36" circle in 1mm ish steel!?

 :)

LOL - Have you still got that thing! It might come in handy for cutting the round vinyl labels I'll need on the bonnet, maybe....!
