New member from Arizona
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:21:58 PM »
Hi Im Dave , new to this site.  I am a machinist with over 25 years experience building hot rod and racing engines . I have just recently started building my own hobby machine shop at home, and would really like to start building model engines( steam , hot air ,etc.) for some reason I cant get enough of it at work so I have to do it at home too.  This is a good web site hopefully I'm mad enough to fit in . Thanx for having me. Here is some pics of machines in my TINY shop .

Hi and as AussieJim said, welcome Dave. I am sure you will fit right in as you don't have to be too mad nor too Modded. So long as you like making swarf n chips and occasionally get something useful as a result all is well. If by chance you  get stuck, ask away and I am certain there will be someone here with an answer to assist you.
Converting good metal into swarf sometimes ending up with something useful. ;-)

Thanx again Gentlemen my floor is only clean because I haven't done any thing yet.... However I'm in the process of trying to dream up some sort of small transmission that I need to build for the table feed on my small mill. By the way it's a older Bench Master mill rowbare , I haven't really used it yet, it's trammed in and hell bent for stout , so hopefully it will be a nice machine to use. I will post a pic of the gear motor I bought for the feed and may bee I can get some input from you Gentlemen that might help me,  thanx again. I wonder should I post here or elsewhere on this site ?      DAVE.
