Drill Depth Stop
« on: April 10, 2009, 02:27:17 PM »
Hi Madmodders

My Startright drill has an adjustable depth stop the only problem is that it doesn't stay put it moves, the solution loc-nuts

Into the old scrap box for some stub ends of steel, into the three jaw chuck turn the dia and nurl , drill:- starting with centre drill, then 8mm, then 12mm then 14.2 mm then tap M16 then part off to length.

Job Done

This will make the drill a far more usefull and accurate bit of kit.

Cheers

Thanks chaps

I'm trying to get some of those little niggly little jobes done before I start back on the loco, I've got a bad habit of getting fully absorbed with one objective and putting other jobs off and making do with their shortcommings:- thats just me.
