The Artful Bodger does a little modification...
« on: April 11, 2009, 10:30:50 PM »
The coolant pipe on my lathe is rather stiff and just a little springy, when bent over far enough to cover the toolpoint it tends to straighten which goes off target (what usually happens is it straightens just enough to dump on the chuck jaws which in turn splatters me!).

So here is the mod (never throw old junk away, in this case an old shower head fitting)

Moving the mount away a bit means a less severe bend required in the pipe and hopefully less tendency to 'unspring' itself!
