Can/Pet Bottle Crusher
« on: November 17, 2014, 05:34:01 PM »
So the question is:

I need a designs for a Alu. Can or PET Bottle crusher

Spec:

Crush and produce a 15 to 20 kg bale of alu. cans or a similar volume of pet bottles.

Ideally the bale will hold its shape without using the banding tecniques of the commercial stuff.

Our rugby club produces about 500 kg of Alu and a similar amount of pet per annum.

Any one into recycling designs.

BTW: As we are Mad madders lets think out side the box

Shred them into flakes and cut out the middle man and sel direct to industry , one machine may do both , and they will need to be segregated into colors .

Or go the whole hog and inject them into moulds to make tacky Christmas toys...   :palm:

What about a cardboard baler or a modified log splitter?

Lee
You're right, it does look easy when its finished.

Seems to me that you should be thinking INSIDE THE BOX at least until the bale is finished!

Thanks for the sugestion of adding functionality to a log splitter. I have a wood burner and could always use an excuse to get another machine into the collection.

It will sit well with the finance committee as SHE is big into recycling

Only question now is electric or hydraulic??
