Rob,

Have you melted any iron yet or is this part of your welding and melting shop reorganisation?

Hi Phil

The welding shop  :(

As you can see it became a dumping ground ,  :palm:    so I decided to move all foundry gear to one side , the moulding bench took a wee bit of moving  :palm:

Then I decided to build a coke forge

Then I threat myself to  some new welders  :)

So I have to fined a home for those now . So the welding shop is still in a state of flux , the cupola just needs a gate valve and blast pipe making , I have 1/2 ton of coke sitting waiting , just need fair weather and a day off .

Yea, the workshop is as complete as it will be (actually thinking about extending it out the back a little, not for workshop space, just for a covered section for storage of essential junk) I've not been doing much the last couple of months, been a bit cold and been busy with other projects. Hope to be getting back into it soon.

Good to here Tim , I no the feeling of being short on space  :palm: , looking to make a small lean to  for storage too ,some were for the growing collection of gas cylinders and the likes .

Just thought ,I have been building my  workshop since I was 13   (when I got my very own shed) and I am still prating about at age 47 , you'd think I would have  it sorted by now LOL

Aaarh those were the days , two bikes and a bag of tools from Woolworth s , rubber spanners and screwdrivers with see-through yellow handles that explode as soon as you looked at them , happy days .

Not much, few hours a week. Moved house last September and still sorting the workshop out really! New job as well which takes up half my time and my 6yo and 2yo the other half!!
