Ahhh, I see, that lovely occupant will not move without a lot of persuation. Also means the lift option is out too.

But with that height, have you not thought of a mezzanine floor, might provide useful additional space as well?

So you have a high ridge, underneath is various machinery laid out (may be randomly) so can't use a small cherry picker!.

Whats the English for Scaffolding?

Build a raised platform out of scaffolding!
