Rob, was it new when you got it, or had a previous owner 'breathed' on it ? That lead screw nut implies someone had driven it hard into overtravel
Well back to reality now ,back from my holidays So to cheer myself up I went a wee road trip to pick up a few incidentals for the Bridgeport. Slotting head and HZ quill adaptor , then wile down country I popped into Arceurotrade for a 6 inch machine vice and a wee bit R8 tooling ,the lad there makes a cracking cup of tea , then on the way back I swung buy Joules house to drop off the X,Y thing and have bit crack , his lass also makes a canny brew Suppose I better put my Boxford shaper and Lathe up for sale ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,groan ,let battle begin Rob
Hmmmmm, I had my heart set on a Warco 626 for years, but if I'm going to buy a project.... Might as well be any of the available mills these days.
Mind you we only serve coffee
