Rob,
None of your fixing methods involve welding? Is that something you deliberately avoided or some other reason? Even though sky hooks are so retro, they make fixing cables to by welding so much easier in my experience....

If nails are considered too expensive, how about the Hilti gun method?...

Where are you going to get enough hands to hold the bits of wood all round the workshop?

Also how do you plan to attach the hands to the walls?

I used plastic trunking to drop from ceiling level and put a few extra metal clad sockets in. I did but still have had to alter the ring main to put in more as machines have been relocated to fit more in.

When I converted my barn to a workshop I ran trunking all round then put double 13a sockets every metre. Before the machines moved in we had a barn dance, and guests couldn't believe I needed so many sockets - well I do, and in places I've added more

Option "B" is my favourite - very tidy, the nail blends in champion like, and doesn't seem to shred the insulation like "A". The other advantage is, if it all goes a bit wrong, you can convert it into option "C"

Actually, I think methods A and B might result in localised welding between the cores?

Just a wee update, I now have nearly all the gear I need for the workshop 3 phase wiring , just a few more 3P MCB's ,one more isolator should about do it .

Evening Chaps,

Thought I would remodel the shop today, and join shop 1 to shop 2 as I was getting sick of walking back and forth between the two and also heating two shops is a pain.

So the join will be here on this side, the milling cutter wall cabinet will need relocating doh!

And all this will need moving on the other side, and one of the new wall cabinets will also need relocating Doh!

Crap moved and two sections of concrete panel removed.

Next, the brickwork was removed.

The old doorway into shop 1 will be bricked up later in the year. So tomorrow I will need to clean the brickwork up and brick up the gap between the two shops.
