God alone knows, AND they want a pound postage.

Heres a tip, DON'T look at the price of a Starret one
I looked for an acme gauge on the net and the prices were horrendous.

they stamp the damn things out for pennies.

Roy.
I used to be confused, now I just don't know.

blimy that steep!

must be made out of gold plated, precision ground unobtainium!

Crazy, identical Groz one on Ebay buy it now at £5 with free postage, they are right royally taking the p*ss! BUT has anyone noticed that the engineering items on Ebay, especially accesories and used tooling has gone up hugely as though people are just listing at astronomical prices in the hope that some mug comes along and purchases?

I make these type of gauges plus a load more specials.
Screw setting gauges, trapezoidal, acme, Do gear gauges, module gear gauges to name a few. They are made here in the UK, NOT stamped out but not for peanuts either.

You want peanuts, buy KP, my time is more valuable.

OK. Where they sell thread gauges you make, specially traperzoidal thread gauge.

Some stampped gauges are pretty crude, some have the surface machined. I have one welding seam gauge laser cut, that is cheap and good eneough for that purpose.

For a gauge I'd rather buy known quality and pay the prise than buy by prise of unknown inaccuracy. Gauges are special that way, that both buyers and seller has to know accuracy that has to adhered to.
