LED lo-volt light
« on: July 10, 2017, 01:43:07 PM »
I have a light on my Clarkson grinder that sometime in the past has gone from lo-volt to mains-voltage. It's not really ideal so I have re-purposed a commercial quality LED down light to give much better illumination than the old incandescent but also at only 20V.

Not much to show. I stripped the light down to the bare LED unit and heat sink, riveted on a little cranked bracket then made a swivel for the light bowl because the old one kept flopping about. I had to use a die grinder to adjust the hole in the bowl but the end result looks very neat.
