There's a new prog on Quest [Sky 144 in Ireland] called "Fire in the Hole" its about a Texas explosives company that blows things up for a small fortune when there is often simpler alternative.

Tonight he took down a small bridge (lets say 2  10" x 4" I-beams as main structure) with shaped charges[which he sub con'd out]. But he already had a mate with a gas axe to 'weaken' the structure!!

Last week it was imploding a 150 year old timber framed house in a country museum. He did it eventually with 100 grain det cord BUT not after they had weakened the structure with the aid of a chain saw FFS!!

My interest is that he can make his own binary charges.

Give me 'Blaster Bates' any time.  But then he is an acquired but refined taste.
