Just had an enormous bonfire on the field comprising of much tree and shrub clearance from when I prepared the site for the Tractor Shed. Quite a pile - lit it at 4 pm and I've just pushed the edges to the middle with the JCB803 now (8:30 PM) - should be little left in the morning.

We had a 'silent' party with no fireworks and invited a couple of friends who's dogs tend to panic with bangs and flashes. Jacket potatoes that we pretended had been done on the fire - with chillie-con-carne  or beans and cheese for the Vegies

5th November is always a good excuse for burning an accumulation of rubbish

Here in OZ fireworks are illegal to protect the stupid among us. Bonfires I am unsure about, probably need a permit or summat given our government's propensity for slapping a regulation on anything fun.
