Chester Cub 630/ Warco GH750
« on: December 13, 2017, 11:17:57 AM »
Hi, I am looking for a small lathe for hobby use at home and ideally a gap bed.
I have considered the usual M300 or Bantam/Student.
I have just been offered a mint Chester Cub (same as a Warco gh750) that came out of a school, just wondered if anyone has had any experience with these machines?.
My workshop is long but only 2M wide so I don't really want a very deep lathe, for reference a M300 is about 300mm deeper than the Cub due to the swarf tray and coolant pump.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is the Cub that came out of a school:-
