Hello,
I'm here mainly because of my interest in the work on stand-alone CNC controllers being done here but I like making things using a wide range of technologies old and new, both for fun and profit, and to paraphrase a famous motor bike engineer almost all my models are 12 inches to the foot. 
Some of the things I enjoy are bench work, forge work, casting, welding, manual machining, CNC, FDM 3D Printing and the supporting technologies to get that stuff to work,
