WM250 change gear assistance needed.
« on: May 26, 2018, 04:24:04 AM »
Hi
Am trying to set up for a 20tpi thread, which should be a doddle according to the label on the machine. However i cannot seem to be able to get the gears to fit in the banjo - there does not seem to be enough room. 30-80 and 75-60 seem to be the gear pairs, but it is impossible to fit the 80 upper gear with either the 75 or 60 lower gear in place. I am assuming that the leadscrew fixed gear is not changed.

Can anyone with a WM250 care to shed some light on this.

Best Regards

Sorted - The leadscrew gear dos need to be changed and the H 's on the change gear list refer to spacers which are in the tool box.

Best Regards
