O/K , In my part of the UK we have rain ,westerly wind and about 12" C , so I am in North Wales !! It's still summer so the BBQ is a good option for cooking if I can protect myself and it from the weather . My basic mix is ground(minced) beef, smoked bacon lardons and garlic/caramelised onions/Hungarian smoked paprika/ black pepper and salt . We add hot spices as sauces to suit taste. Please give me your recipe and tell me  how you cook them in vertical and horizontal rain!! Nathan.

The key to a good burger is to not smash them flat. :med:

I once spent a week eating nothing but cheeseburgers, trying to find the Cheeseburger Secret. It turns out the secret is the mustard, and the patty isn't half as important as having good mustard.

Also eating ground beef for a week resulted in some... interesting digestive issues.

And for the record, the Pizza Secret is MSG in the dough. I'm pretty sure that's how takewaway pizzas are always better than any others.

Secret of the burger is to handle the meat minimum amount possible. I prefer mix of almost 1/3 lamb, bit over 1/3 beef, and pork to adjust just right amount of grease. Chopped with kitchen knife and only a little seasoning, maybe a little rosemary or thyme on the pan.

I like real tasty burger buns, not flyffy, slimy squashed variety you get from shops.
