Hello all
« on: June 13, 2009, 09:16:11 AM »
Hi

I’ve been lurking on this site for a few months, and I thought it was about time I introduced myself.
I first got interested in Model Engineering at school way back in the late fifties later buying a Myford ml7 lathe ( I got change out of £200). Marriage and raising a family put a stop to it  :( . So the myford was greased down and not used for a number of years.

Now nearing retirement I hope to start again  :D.

I found this great friendly site  :nrocks: and will be soon makeing swarf again.

Brian

Hi Brian,

As said before, welcome to the collective  :borg:

Glad you decided to introduce yourself. I understand about not having time with marriage and children... difficult but I am doing it to keep my sanity  :med:

Can't wait to see what you make.

Hi Brian, welcome to the family.... :)

Can I ask what the flag represents? Reminds me of Powell..
You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Stew, My main interests are steam engines of all types, my ambition as always been to build a loco. I hope to start with a simple oscillator.

Darren, David D beat me to it, yes its the flag of Lincolnshire.

Anyway back to the workshop got to sort out the (might come in handy someday) junk.

Brian.
