Hello from Shropshire
« on: August 18, 2009, 06:56:10 AM »
Hello folks,

I was told about this forum by Stew Hart who has single-handedly rebuilt most of my leatherworking machinery over this past weekend. Thanks again Stew!

I'm definitely not an engineer but I occasionally make things that engineers seem to like... leather washers, tool cases, straps, etc. and have a collection of old (and very odd) machines and tools. Happy to help out if anyone needs leathery bits but I'm excused spanners... I do have a large bent screwdriver, big pliers and and set of adjustable wrenches though!

Nice to meet you all, I'm looking forward to learning a lot.

Ray

Hi Ray, welcome aboard

We've all been admiring the pictures of your machines that Stew posted, and I'm sure we'd all like to see more of your work.

Thanks for all the kind comments, folks, it is nice to feel so welcome.

I've got an idea for a small project that might interest you but there doesn't seem to be a 'special place for leathery things' so I'm not really sure where to upload the pictures too. Anyone got any thoughts on this as I wouldn't want to tread on sensitive toes...

Hi Ray

General Crafts in the craftman section would be a good place to start, if its wrong the guys will move it without making a drama  :( out of it.  :D

Cheers
