Howdy ya'll from Tennessee!
« on: August 20, 2009, 08:51:41 PM »
A quick hello to everyone in the forum!  I've been lurking here a couple of weeks and ya'll (shut up Spellcheck, that's the way us'n's talk here in Tennessee) certainly are the sort of pals I like to hang with!

I recognize many of you from other forums and hope you'll accept me here as well.

Like another fellow that posted here recently, when I saw John (Mr. Bogstandard) was a member, I just had to join!

Hi Milton,

Glad you have decided to join us over here as well, there is nothing like a varied diet. No two sites are the same, and this one is a little stranger than most, in that almost any project can be shown on here.

But unless you have a camera, you will get beaten with one of these  :worthless:
at every opportunity.

Thanks for the warm reception gentlemen.  I have a few projects going on in various stages of confus...err, completion and I will definitely post up the pix when they're a bit farther along.

As luck would have it, I started a combination surface plate/buffer-polisher stand last weekend and just as I started remembering a bit of SMAW welding technique, I got 2 phone calls to do some work for CASH that'll stop that project cold for a bit.

I've been wanting to purchase an 8" machinist's level and a 2 1/2" R-8 flycutter from CDCO and the extra cash will allow me to go ahead & order them.  John's flycutter sharpening thread I found here has me keen to add one to the toolchest.
