Thje long awaited, much anticipated Cedge's Victorian Video
« on: September 08, 2009, 08:43:43 PM »
The headlong rush to meet the deadline for the local engine show is past, making it an ideal time to fulfill my promise to give up a video of the little Victorian engine, running. My apologies for the blue cast, but the lighting was terrible and the camera's compensation settings don't seem to extend to the video functions.

I've still got to integrate the governor, as time simply didn't allow for it before I had to debut the little devil. After running it all weekend, i've decided tomake it dual function capable so I can run it in either a hit and miss or standard engine configuration. It simply runs to sweet to not have it run in continuous mode from time to time.

Without further comment.... The video.

Definitely. In fact, more than worth it.

You really have worked wonders with that design.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I've whispered them into the little engine's carb in hopes doing so will erase some of the negative vibes my own rather colorful past comments might have instilled into it....(grin)

Eric...
I'm actually taking a step back in time this round. I was never quite happy with the little modified Elbow engine I so boldly chose as my first engine project. I'm going to revisit that one and try to work my way around the mistakes and the lousy choices for cylinder materials. It will be scaled up a wee bit and the look will probably have a bit more of the style I was chasing at the time. I finally wound up having to label the original project as a failure, so hopefully this revisit will manage to erase my one and only black mark from the score board.

From there, it appears I'll be tackling a much more restrictive project as I attempt to build a historically correct engine from bar stock. More on that project when the proper time is upon us.
