My little workshop

My workshop is only 2.4 x 4.2 metres. I lose 1 metre of it for access from the kitchen to the laundry/backdoor.
As it's right next to the kitchen, I have to keep it clean.

The stainless steel trolley visible in the first image will one day be a home for the mill so I can get some of the bench space back.

Looks to be nice and compact and clean. Being close to the kitchen isn't a bad thing. You won't miss being called for dinner and it's handy when you want a snack.

Geoff,

To some of the members on here, that is enormous.

But as long as you are happy in there, why worry.

It looks to be well organised. That will soon change when you get into metal munching. All of a sudden, the spare bench space disappears.

If you want to attempt to keep the walls clean, I would just pin up a bit of thin polythene behind each machine (even wide cling film), and throw it away when it gets too dirty.

Just enjoy it.

Geoff

My shop is 3M * 3M  with a little bit of thought you'll be amazed what you can fit in your space, and the enjoyment you'll get.

Have fun
