G'day from Sydney
« on: October 01, 2009, 03:18:39 AM »
Another new Oz member saying hello.
I have a C6 lathe and an X2 mill and hope to actually make something real soon.
Current project is to get some DRO scales mounted on the mill.

Welcome Geoff,

Another Commonwealth member joins the fold. It must be driving Bernd mad.

You have a good start with your equipment, and I am sure everyone on here can give you suggestions what to do with it (not painful I hope).

Just settle down, do a bit of reading, then push your way in when you can find a space.

The only thing I've 'made' so far has been to mount a QCTP on the lathe.
This required boring out the body of the new tool post and making a sleeve to fit over the exiting mounting bolt.
There are a couple of piccies on my website

Geoff

Welcome to MadModder. As you probably know from reading these forums,  :worthless:. If you have any questions there is usually someone around to answer or at least offer an opinion. I must warn you that chances of being infected with  :proj: are extremely high.

Pull up a chair, join in and enjoy.  :mmr:

Cheers

The bottle cap shown is from Coopers Sparkling Ale, the best beer in the world
(That should start a few arguments ...)

Well, I will stay away from the argument (love German and Belgium Beers)... My co-worker is a 'Cooper'... he is gonna get a kick out that!
