Elmers Tiny
« on: October 05, 2009, 03:24:41 PM »
Just to let u all know I finally made a runner. And broke the crankshaft and fixed it again.

The first one was 2 part fixed with superglue???  My four year old loved the engine so much it did not last an hour.  I then made the replacement by turning it out of as solid piece in the four jaw chuck--seems fine so far.

FLywheel is 16mm diam and 4.5 wide.(forgot to put somthing for scale.)

Nice 1 Gerhard well done on making a runner!

Good little engine. Sounds like your 4 year old has got him a new toy. Now you are going to have to build another one for yourself.

Cheers

Good one Gerhard

Your young son will treasure that engine, I've still got the steam engine my father gave me a long long time ago.

Have fun

THanks for the nice comments.

Nick plan with the oversize base was to have a controll valve in the middle of the pipe.  Dont think Sean would let me have it back to make the valve.

Don I hope to make one of my own design later but a lot of tools on top of the list.
