a word of warning!!!

i couldn't find my note book today

its a spiral bound book, with all my sketches, notes, addresses, etc in.

i've found it and now scanned the whole lot!!

i've never even thought about a copy of it, it made me realise that i'd be lost if it ever did go missing

I think that most of us probably have a similar book, I know that I do. The idea of scaning it into the computer never crossed my mind but I think I will do that. Thanks for the tip. 

A couple of times I have used the digital camera to take a picture of something that I wanted to keep in case the original came up missing.

That only works if the hard drive doesn't go away, the free standing hard drives for back up that auto back up daily etc. are cheap insurance. In case the book and computer leave at the same time!
