hellloooooo
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:03:37 PM »
   hello im sid ive been lurking reading and so on . im new to machining stuff but learning as i go. ive built a couple engines not very pretty but they do run.
i drive 18 wheelers for a living but enjoy what little time i get in my garage. of have the hunny do's first then i get to play.
i used to drive tow trucks that haul the broken 18 wheelers. but the boss and i had very different ideas about customers so i said shove it.
i love driving but love my garage very much too. (i sometimes envy those of you that are retired) Ive a lovely wife of 18 years two very pretty daughters (you boys back off)
live in sunny Calif.(i don't really like this state ) lets see my machines are a 2x mill , 8x 14 lathe, drll press and misc other stuff.
ive always wanted a lathe and mill since i was a kid but could not afford anything. (any money we had was to buy food and such so tools was out)
well i dont know what else to say except thanks for letting me join and im sure ill be reading much more and have some ?s as i go.
ok im done  see ya in the funnys :mmr:

Hi Sid

Welcome to MadModder. You will find this collective to be a helpful bunch so fire away with any question that you may have. In a previous life I tried to keep 18 a spinning so I know what its like to never be home. You will probably become infected with  :proj: so be forewarned  .

Keep the dirty side down

Sid, Welcome to the ward collective. Where in SoCal are you located? When my youngest daughter was home and dating, I did show the young fellers my shotgun.  Some of them never came back. Nuff said I guess.
