Hello from Michigan
« on: November 23, 2009, 09:56:48 PM »
Hi everyone, my name is Dan from south central Michigan. I have always been a tinkerer and have made many of my toys. I have built a long wheel base recumbent bicycle, a 7X12 metal lathe, a CNC plasma cutter/router to name a few items. I'm currently working on a small horizontal milling machine. I am a few months away from retirement and am looking forward to having more time to play in my shop.
This looks like an interesting site, I will probably be spending a lot of time here.
As you can probably guess from my avatar, I am also a runner. I've completed 5 marathons including Boston this year.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the collective.  :borg: You have been assimilated.  :ddb:

I'd like to see some pics of that recumbent bike you've built and also I'm interested in that CNC plasma cutter/router. If you would start a new thread in the appropriate section and post some pics of each.

Again welcome aboard and hope you catch  :proj: .

As we like to say  :mmr:   :nrocks:  :nrocks:

Regards,
Bernd

Thanks Bernd,
I have already posted a video of the CNC plasma in action. I will be adding photos of the bike shortly.

I spent quite a bit of time there at the island park with my metal detector a few years ago but haven't been back since. I'll holler if I get up that way though, do the same if you are in my area.
