the floor is dry!!!
« on: December 02, 2009, 09:48:36 AM »
had the great idea to paint the workshop floor at the weekend

its took untill today to dry

during my enforced absence from the shed i've spent a bit too much time on the interweb

i've decided to venture into building an engine of sorts

decided to have a go at the EZ one from the HMEM site.

we'll see what happens :dremel: :dremel: :dremel:
if i'd thought it through, i'd have never tried it

Ooh, wrong time of year for painting cold things ... glad it dried for you...

Now for some some projects
You will find it a distinct help… if you know and look as if you know what you are doing. (IRS training manual)

Jimmy,

I intended to paint my garage/ workshop floor, after I laid it, in 1972...... There`s always been too many things standing on it since then!  ::)

Good luck with the engine build!

I told the builder in 1982 "Make sure the floor is smooth because I am going to paint it!"  He did that and maybe I will be able to paint it before we try to sell the house (after moving all the treasure out!)

John

At least it wasn't all in vain. Being smooth made it easier to sweep. You did sweep it several times didn't you?

Cheers

Painted is a pain is this weather. I`ve just had new facia boards put on the roof and they had to be painted. Then it rained about 30 minutes later!!!! They seem to have dried OK but I`ll inspect them in spring and maybe re-do them.

Glad your floor is now dry and you can get  :dremel: done.

At least you don't have the problem of your water dish for your grinder freezing solid...woke up to -33 degrees C this am :bang:(windchill -40C but I don't worry about that in the shop) ::)
